Faced with thermal and moisture intrusion issues, this third-floor space needed work, so we took the opportunity to also update it for everyday lifestyle needs. All existing finishes were demolished, the thermal and moisture issues were addressed, and — working with interior designer Hattie Sparks — we thoughtfully created a sanctuary for wellness and exercise. Complete with sauna, kitchenette, and room for exercise, the new space eliminates the existing faux beams and celebrates the existing vaulted ceilings. We also brought the lighting down to face level to create a relaxing, glowing space, and clad everything in v-groove wood paneling for durability and texture.
